Brett Maher: Leading Financial Transformation at PwC
Principal and US Lead for Finance Transformation for Insurance and Financial Services
Maher has been a PwC Principal and US Lead for Financial Transformation for Insurance and Financial Services for over 11 years. Today, he continues to specialise in building more effective finance and accounting organisations for global financial services companies.
With over 30 years of industry and consulting experience, Maher collaborates with PwC clients to help improve financial operating models, driving improved efficiencies and operational effectiveness.
He also leads PwC’s US Insurance sector as Financial Transformation lead. In this role, he builds teams and collaborates with colleagues, bringing domain expertise in all things cloud and digital, actuarial, change management, accounting, tax, and workforce transformation.
In fact, Maher’s storied career began at Price Waterhouse LLP back in 1994, where he held a position as a senior consultant. He then went on to have stints at Ernst & Young (EY) as a senior manager, where he helped drive the implementation of ERP, planning and budgeting, performance management, data warehouse and business intelligence/CPM Tools.
He then moved on to JPMorgan Chase, where he was Vice President for three years, leading finance transformation, regulatory reporting, and finance integration projects.
Returning to PwC in 2005, Maher has remained there for over 18 years, first as a Director, before taking up his current position as Principal in 2012.
